1st post and in need of help

I'm usually a reader, not a blogger, but was looking for opinions....

I was due Tuesday (the 24th), with no progress made. We had our dr appt wednesday evening and found we were dialated to 1 cm (finally progress!!!) but we weren't effaced or anything. We went ahead and scheduled our induction for this Monday, going in on Sunday night for cervidil. Yesterday, I started losing my plug (and some today). While sleeping last night, I would wake up occasionally and felt like I was "leaking". Did/does anyone else experience this feeling after losing your plug? I'm worried about leaking fluid but it's not a lot if so, and we'll be checked in 2 days when we go to the hospital. I guess what I'm trying to ask is, should I go in before then, or wait it out? I'd like her to just come out now on her own, but we know how that goes Wink TY in advance!

    Sounds like your water may have broken.  I'd go in to get checked.  They'd send you back home if it wasn't your water.  Best of luck to you!

    Call your OB. It's easy for them to check and see if your water is broken (using a pH strip). You can leak and have it be just a little bit - I know from experience!

    Thanks all! I did call and they sent me to L&D to get tested and nothing. Still only 1 cm dialated and water still in tac...that induction is looking more real everyday. Really wish she'd decide to come on her own, stubborn little thing.

    I agree.  Call your doctor.  My water broke and I didn't think it was enough for it to actually be amniotic fluid.  I was wrong and we went 24 hours before going into labor.  My doctor was pretty upset that I didn't come in to be checked when I thought it might have been amniotic fluid.  Anyways, if you go to long they'll likely hook you up for some antibiotics.  Call just to be sure.
