Exclusively breastfeeding- 6 wks PP and period!?

It's been 6 weeks since I've had my baby, and I just got my period the other day!! I am breastfeeding only, and pumping some- but never go more than 3 hours during the day , or at MOST 5 hours at night (occasionally, usually 3-4 hours at night.) I didn't expect to get a period for months! This obviously means breastfeeding can't be an 'added' birth control method for me. Darn... Anyone else get period this soon?! Dr. said no cause for concern, some women do. Weirdd..

    Wow!  I am also EBF, and got my period right at the 2 month mark...I was definitely hoping I would have a few more months!

    I got mine right around 6 weeks as well while EBFing on demand. But then I got Mirena so now it is gone again.

    I got mine at 6 1/2 weeks PP and it's lasted until today at 8 weeks. Mine started out as just spotting for the first 3 days, then continually got heavier over the last week. Pretty annoying. I EBF/pump at work too.
