Why can't doctors take me seriously!
This is a little bit of a rant and also looking for thoughts and some help.
I've been having cycle issues ever since my m/c in March 11'. My cycle is never the same and normally goes between 35 and 50 days. Every month is different and sometimes it doesn't even show up at all or just spots.
I've been seeing my family doctor who put me back on b/c in July for a few months to try and regulate my cycles again. Of course it didn't work. I feel like I need to smack him to actually listen to what I'm saying to him. I'm so frustrated. I finally told him I want to go see a specialist. I got my appt. (which was this last Tuesday). Its the same specialist I seen the day I had my m/c and I had only seen him just that once. He looked at me like I was from a different planet because I want to try and have another baby. He did an internal (which I hadn't had one since before I got pregnant) and is sending me for blood work to check my hormone levels. Now I feel like he should be doing more. I don't know.. am I crazy to be thinking this!? I read all these other posts from you ladies getting all sorts of things tested and checked yet my doctor seems to be doing hardly anything at all. I'm so frustrated! I haven't had a normal AF since OCTOBER!
And ontop of all that, as I was telling the specialist my story (before he even knew all the facts) he proceeds to tell me it sounds like I'm going to need fertility drugs yet doesn't explain about what any of that means! Now my next appt. isn't till March 8th. I don't even know what I'm supposed to do till then and its 6 weeks away! I'm so frustrated.

I am so sorry you are having such a difficult time. You have to be your own advocate here and if they aren't paying attention you will have to be bolder. Start gathering info to bring to your next appt. Are you charting? Print out your charts and take them with you to your March appt
What does the order for b/w say it will be testing you for? TSH, Hcg, Prolactin, Testosterone - this is what my doc sent me for when I didn't get my first post m/c AF for 70 days. She also ordered a complete pelvic u/s. Maybe you should request a u/s just to check that everything looks ok. Ask if maybe you should be put on Clomid or something else to trigger O. Maybe once you kickstart your system it will get back on track.
I think the nurse/receptionist at my OB office might have been a bit annoyed with me because I called every week or so with another questions between mid dec and last week. She never showed it to me though, she would just talk to the doc and get back to me. I only started seeing this doc because she was on call at the hospital when I went to the ER miscarrying. I like her though and will be going to see her when I get my next BFP, which hopefully will be very soon. If you still feel like you aren't getting the treatment you need or deserve, then keep looking for a new doc.

Thank you for all your comments and suggestions. I definitely feel I am going to have to make a stronger stand when it comes to speaking with the doctors. It's been emotional year and seeing him Tuesday just lead me to tears making it difficult to speak. Next time won't be so hard I'm sure.
The blood work he sent me for is testing Testosterone, and three others but I can't read his writing. I guess I'll find out on March 8th when I asking him about all these details and also find out all the possibilities. I also had an u/s done at the end of December and it came back normal. Currently on day 51 since the star of my last cycle (it was only a spotting cycle and last just over two weeks stop and go).
I use an iPhone app to chart my cycles and report everything I'm experiencing. I am even taking my Basel temperature everyday even though I don't find it's making any sense at all.
