Block Feeding ?

Due to over-supply we are currently doing block feeding. I am wondering for those that have done this, is it forever? Or eventually can we go back to both sides at one feeding? How long did you have to do this before your supply got in check? Weeks? Months?

    It took me a week of one side per feeding to not be constantly engorged. Another week to regulate to a more reasonable level. I had an oversupply still for several months.

    At 8.5 months, I still feed one side at a time, but both at the feeding right before bed.

    I think it took a couple of weeks, too, for my body to adjust and to go back to two-sided feedings. DD still eats off only one side some mornings when I am super full.

    I'd say two weeks and still working on forceful letdown.  I prefer block feeding as he nurses short amounts each time so it helps empty my breasts and ensures he gets hind milk
