LO overcame the odds

Yesterday was Lo's first test day at daycare - he went for 3 hours and didn't nap at all.  After I picked him up, he started showing signs of conjunctivitis which he got from me.

after that we went to his 2mo appt where he got 2 shots.

So last night we were dealing with no naps, 2 shots, conjunctivitis, and first long stretch away from mommy.

He woke up 4 times but 2 times were just for tylenol.  I'm proud of him, poor little bugger!  :)

btw if you haven't heard, treatment for conjunctivitis in babies is breast milk in the eye!

    DS had pink eye over and over and over when he first started daycare.  Breast milk is amazing stuff for treatment!

    Signs and symptoms - mostly just a really gunky eye, like it will gunk over so much they can't even open it

    Its similar to pink eye, except pink eyes is bacterial conjunctivitis and what LO has is viral.  

    The first symptoms are either discharge from the eye (excessive watery or white) or redness in the white part of the eye - can be both.  LO doesn't seem to be too bothered by it.  Bacterial has green or dark yellow discharge.  Viral has white or watery.

    LOL. My LO is covered because I always manage to squirt breast milk in his eye when I have let down and he pulls off. Haha.
