Hey ladies!
I hope you're enjoying your Friday! I'm super excited for the weekend!
I've just been doing some research on IUI and IVF as I am currently in the middle of cycle 2 on Clomid and I want to know what could potentially be DH and my next step. I'm hoping that by knowing what my future options are, then I won't feel so upset about being stuck in this unfair world of IF.
During my search, there was a list of bloodwork and other tests that needed to be completed. Looking back on my own experiences, I had a progesterone test on CD21 which was low, and my GP ran other tests before referring me to my current OBGYN. The issue is, I feel like my GP conducted some of my tests on the wrong CD. My ultrasound was conducted CD22 which ended up being 3 days before my O day (my cycles are VERY irregular). At that time I had 1 dominant follicle and therefore they ruled out PCOS. Other bloodwork (standard physical b/w tests) was actually done on my O day (didn't even know it was going to happen that day!).
I'm not sure if my concerns are valid or if I am just creating an issue out of nothing. If you could let me know any information from your own experiences that would be great. I'm a little worried to consult Dr. Google as I usually find sites that contradict themselves... haha
Re: Tests
Welcome!
I think most women here will recommend seeing an RE for all treatments rather than your GP. "Day 21" testing is useless unless you O on Day 14, and it seems that you didn't. Testing should be done at 7dpo as confirmed by charting or monitoring.

Next steps can only be determined by a doctor (and might I suggest an RE for you).
The basic IF workup (which it sounds like you have not had) includes CD 3 b/w, ultrasound, 7DPO b/w (commonly called CD21), and an HSG. A SA is also done on your husband.
It is no wonder that your CD 21 b/w was low...you HADN'T OVULATED YET!
:Leave your GP behind and get with an RE...who actually knows what they are doing.
