How many times a day does your LO eat?

She never really did 8 -10 a day but more like 6 to 7. she's been sleeping even longer at night and even slept through the night and has gotten down to 5 times a day nursing. She's 10 weeks old today.

If you are talking a 24 hour day then its 8 times but if you are talking daytime then it's 6-7. We are kinda playing with amounts right now, but it looks like he is ready to advance to 5 oz bottles every three hours. If he naps during the day we don't wake him to eat. Our biggest issue is that he has been fighting sleep during the day, but since we are moving how much he eats up a bit it may make a difference on that end. He just ate a 5 oz bottle and for the first time after his morning nap he FINALLY went to sleep.

in 24 hours my lo eats only 6 times. He eats at 7am, 10am, 1pm, 4pm, 7pm, and 2am. He made this schedule himself and he is gaining plenty of weight so I'm not concerned.

LO is 12 weeks old and eats every 2-3 hours until her last bottle between 10-11pm. Then, whether she eats 3 oz or 6 oz, she sleeps 5+ hours through the night without waking.

I think like 5 "big" bottles (5 oz) and a small one (2 oz or less) right before bed as part of her routine.

my LO eats 7-9 times in 24 hours. He seems to be eating less at each feeding so I'm thinking about spacing the feedings out to every 3 hours during the day and we'll see if that works.

Wow, I feel like there's something wrong with my DS - he eats 9-12 times a day! EBF on-demand, and I guess some of those are "snacks" rather than "meals." He'll go for a 5-hr and maybe another 3 or 4-hr stretch at night but otherwise he eats every 1-2 hrs. It's so tough to get anything done between nursing sessions.

6-8 times. He's been taking 6 oz bottles at times though. He must have a hollow leg.

DD nurses 7x per day consistently. She STTN, so I make sure she eats at least every 3 hours during the daytime. I would love to cut out a daytime feeding before I go back to work next week, but I'm worried that 6x per day isn't enough. Sometimes, though, I'm probably feeding her when she's not really hungry.

Is it bad that I have no idea? I BF on demand and don't keep track....we have no schedule. We bed share and he eats 2-3 times through night....depends on the night. He is gaining weight well so I don't pay attention to how often.....

Yes, I meant ina 24 hour period. She's is EBF with a bottle of BM just every now and again for us to go out. She's a pretty good napper too. She nurses for at least 10 on each breast and sometimes longer. At her last feeding at around 630 she will usually nurse for about 20min per side. I don't know how many oz though so I estimate about 4 oz during the day and 5oz at wake up and 5 oz at bedtime.

So, should I be concerned that she only eats 5 times in 24 hours???

This is me exactly! I just tried counting and he's already eaten 6 times today (its 6pm), he'll probably nurse 2 more times tonight, plus 2-3 overnight equals about 10-11. He is a little piggy.

Six. Five meals (5 to 6 oz, four meals are EBM one is formula) and one snack (1.5 oz EBM).

6:00 before I go to work, 8:30 and 11:30 bottles with DH, 2:30 bottle at daycare, 5:00 when we get home, 6:00 before her bedtime, 9:00 dreamfeed, and one night feed.

Olivia eats 6 times a day 730, 1030, 130, 430, 730, 1030 and then she sleeps 8 hours every night. I am alternating breast feeding and bottle feeding (breast milk) because at her 2 month checkup the doc says she needs to gain more weight. So 3x a day she gets a 5oz bottle and the other 3 times she gets whatever she can from my breast.
