I had a 2nd ultrasound yesterday as they had trouble the first time getting measurements and also found a large cyst. Well yesterday there was no heartbeat and baby only measured 8w6d and should have been at least 11 weeks. DH and I are heartbroken and this took me for a surprise since this pregnancy everything seemed to be so "textbook" M/S, no spotting/bleeding, fatigue, etc. Looking back the only "sign" that anything was different was my nausea improved about the same time the baby died. I thought it was a good thing, and apparently I was wrong. We were all set to make a big announcement after the ultrasound and now I'm glad we waited.
I have a D&C scheduled for Wednesday.
