What kind of lighting do you use? We have been sleeping downstairs the past month with a lamp on in the other room...just enough to see by. Not sure how I am going to breastfeed without stimulating her too much) when we move upstairs since a nightlight isn't bright enough and the hall light is too bright. I used to have a touch lamp with three settings but that's long gone and I can't find another one. Is a 25 watt bulb too bright for baby? I don't wanna wake her with too bright a light each time through the night....
Re: Lighting at night to feed by?
Our Samsung video monitor has a night light feature on the camera above DS's crib. So when I get woken up by the receiver in my bedroom, I can turn on the light via the receiver, go in by DS, nurse, go back to my bed and turn the light off. While I'm not crazy about the monitor, the night light is my favorite feature!

Surprisingly our wipes warmer has a tiny LED "nightlight" that I use to see at night. It's just bright enough for me to see what I'm doing, but it doesn't keep my LO awake when I'm feeding/changing.
I guess the wipes warmer does double duty

We use that and love it
We do this as well
We moved our operation downstairs as well.
Upstairs all we have is our bed since LO doesnt like his cosleeper, his rock-n-play, his bouncer, his snug-a-bunny swing, or his crib. He slept in our arms while we were pretty much upright in bed.
So we moved downstairs where we have couches, a rocker, and hubby put a mattress in our living room too.
For lighting, we use the vent fan lights under our microwave that hangs above our stove. It provides pretty good mood lighting. Additionally, we have a bit of outdoor lighting that sneaks in through the windows. The moonlight is real nice too.
When we move back upstairs, we will likely purchase a night light of some sort.
