Some Oms from my baby class are getting together on their own today and I said I'd go - since my husband takes the car to work, and because it's winter, I barely leave the house, and I'm really craving some adult conversation with someone other than my husband. But my LO is still napping and I am not going to wake him for fear of the fussy crab-monster he would surely be tonight with not enough sleep today.
What do you do when you're in this situation? Wake them and try and have a life for let them sleep and try and have a happy baby?
Re: Missing a playdate...would you wake your LO?
My LO sometimes doesn't even notice it when we put him in the car seat and sleeps through the whole clicking of the belts.
I'd say stick LO in the car seat. Get out of that house. The car ride should put LO back to sleep if he wakes up.
This! I went to a moms group for the first time today and the adult conversation was definitely a blessing.
We don't do/not do ANYTHING based on this baby's schedule! She is so young and portable, and still sleeps so much....if we have somewhere to be and she's sleeping, I pick her up, strap her in her seat and we go. She will continue to sleep in the car. Get out now while you can....there is not much more time of things being this easy! Soon they will really need to have their set nap times. I know my DD doesn't have them yet....
