We have 2 of the Fisher Price lamb swings and Kendall and Carter LOVE them. They use them to nap/rest in during the day, and sometimes at night if they are a bit fussy. I can't imagine not having them. They are only a week old, but I sure hope they continue to love them as much as they do now!

I think every baby is different. I would start off with one to see if they like them or not. I bought two & neither of mine care for them to much & they are both stored in the basement now.
I had 2 full size swings. My boys took EVERY nap and started EVERY night in them (when we went to bed then we would move them) in their swings for the first 6 months. You could start with one for a couple of weeks, my twins were able to share a swing for a few weeks, but I'd definitely start with at least one and if they both seem to like them then get the full size swings. I highly recommend looking for swings that are electric instead of battery powered. We had a battery powered one for a month or so and it burned through D batteries.
We are getting 2. Both my boys loved their swings so I figure we will use them. Amazon has great prices on swings.....some that are at babies r us for 169.00 and 104 on amazon.

25w6d - A 1lb 11oz 34% B 1lb 15oz 79%
27w6d - Both 2lbs 11oz and 55%
31w6d - A 3lbs 12oz B 3lbs 15oz 30%
We got one full sized one and ended up getting a hand-me-down travel swing. We didn't have both babies in the swings at the same time that often (DD didn't like the swing very long, only for a couple months). So, that worked really well for us, and took up less room. I would probably start with one.
we had one full size and then a portable battery operated one kept it upstairs ...at that time only one baby liked to swing ... Then the other got older and enjoyed it and we borrowed from a friend ... so you can wait and see if they both like or if one likes but be prepared to get another......so we have 3 and THANK GOD we have the 2 full size the battery operated one upstairs is nice but we only use it occasionally
get one that is ac plug in battery one sucks and you have to change it all the time ..
Yes, yes, yes!!! All of my children slept exclusively in their swings for the first 4-6 months. We went through 5 brand new swings between the three and countless batteries. Sleep is sleep. : )

Also a YES from me, too! I still had DD1's gently used one, and I found an awesome deal at a consignment store for the 2nd one. ETA: I made sure it worked before I left the store with it, and I could tell it was barely used. The store owner said it actually belonged to a friend of hers and it was used 2x. So I knew the motor was still good and not worn out- something to consider.
With my oldest daughter, I waited too long to try her in one at 4 months old, and she hated it. I put the twins in theirs from day one and it seems some days it's my only way to sanity! I have a Graco Lovin' Hug and a Fisher Price Little Lamb. they are both great. FWIW I like the Graco best because it has a 5 pt harness, so she can't tip out of her seat, and the seat reclines nearly flat or can sit almost completely upright.
I've had to change both swings' batteries once in the 3 months I've been using them. So, stock up on D's if you can't find AC type swings.
We were in the minority - only need 1 full size swing.
One loved it, other could take or leave it.
What I couldn't live without was 2 (actually 4) bouncy seats. 2 seats on main floor of house and 2 upstairs in master bedroom. Those saved my life many times.
TTC #1 for over 5 years - too many to count IF treatments (tried everything and anything), repeat miscarriages.
Finally, Sticky Success!! B/G Twins arrived 2011.
I put one on my registry (the bunny one that plugs in at other Mom's recommendations). I put only one and also one entertainer because not sure if they will both like it! If they do then we will buy another <: I put two's of Boppy's, carseats, and those small bouncers, and high chairs.

We registered for 2 of the FP space-saver swings b/c they were small, but still had all the functionality of the swing. They are also useable as chairs and they vibrate.

This...the whole thing exactly for the same for us!
We also have 2 of the FP snugabunny swings. We registered for two and got both at my shower with the plan that we would set one up and if they both liked it we would open the other. If not, we could exchange the second one. We opened the second one the day after we came home from the hospital. We don't have a huge house, but it is worth the space they take up.

We had one to begin with and luckily were able to borrow a second b/c they are both in the swing at the same time ALOT. Esp when they were sick.
