2nd Trimester

Baby movements...

How often do you ladies feel your LO move? I believe I've felt actual movement maybe twice but it was a few weeks ago, if that was even baby movement. Just kinda has me a little worried being a FTM that I don't feel anything anymore.

TIA. :)

Re: Baby movements...

  • It seems common to not feel the baby move much at this point based on other posts, however i have been feeling ton, like no-stop!

Since about 17.5 weeks, everyday I feel movement all throughout the day... consistently too!! it's an active little thing in there.... I'm thinking because i'm quite tiny to start with and haven't put an overload of weight on

  • I feel baby everyday and at all times of the day. I've been feeling him/her now for 2 or 3 weeks but it has become a lot more noticeable. DH and I both can see the movements and I can tell where he/she is in my ute. Not sure if body type makes a difference but I am petite and slender. I'm sure you will feel your LO all the time very soon!

  • During my first pregnancy I was at least 20 weeks before I felt anything, some FTM's may feel it earlier but if you don't try not to worry, everyone is different.
  • I felt NOTHING until 21w1d.

After that it was very sporadic until about 25ish weeks. Didn't feel her with any consistency until almost 30 weeks.

This makes me feel so much better. I just see all these post about feeling LO move and I haven't felt anything hardly. I did have an ultrasound about a week ago and LO was moving like crazy but I didn't feel a thing the whole time.

  • Since about 18 weeks I have been able to feel my LO moving around like crazy! She is a hyper little thing, but from what my doctor has told me it is completely normal for first time mom's not to recognize the movement for awhile. I wouldn't worry about it! They don't actually start counting kicks until much closer to third trimester! That's the only time you have to be concerned!

Oh, do not worry! I never got flutters. At our A/S she would not sit still, I didn't feel a hint of a poke.

Then one day, it was like HOLY CRAP that was a body moving. It took quite a while after that for me to feel her every day even. I would get a few times a day I would think it was her but I was never sure.

It has really only been in the last 2 weeks that I feel/see her multiple times a day.

  • I'm 22 weeks and I can feel the baby move about 2-3 per day. Don't stress about the movement, just enjoy it. My OB said that they don't worry about the movement until the eight month

  • I feel the baby everyday throughout the whole day. I am wondering if he is big or something because I am huge and only 18 weeks. I feel him everymorning the same time and food and drink wakes him up :) I think it is different for everyone though.....
