Which pullups?

Caroline doesn't seem to like the Pampers version of pull-ups.  She pulls and tugs at them in the crotch, and says "don't yike 'em, take 'em off now, please, okay?" and then takes them off and throws them in the garbage, lol.

I'd like for her to be in pull ups full time...so maybe we need to switch brands??

Is one brand better than the other?  Any thoughts on how to get her convinced that pull-ups are the way to go?

Re: Which pullups?

  • how well is she doing with PTing?  Think she would be ready for some terry cloth training pants?  They seem like they would be more comfortable, but definitely would be frustrating for really frequent accidents.

  • Is it that she doesn't like pull-ups in general?  Hmm...what if you let her pick which character/theme she likes best?  Ava wore the "boy" ones with Cars characters on them for awhile.  We eventually switched to the Up & Up (Target) brand because they were the cheapest.

  • We tried the Up&Up from Target and she leaked right through them (which sucks because now I have an almost full bag that's going unused). Daycare didn't like the Pampers pullups because they don't have the sides that come away and make changing her more difficult, so we bought Huggies. So far, so good.
  • does she need to go up a size maybe?  We use Huggies for DS but DD used Pampers.

Personally, I like Target or Huggies because you can take the sides apart and put them on without completely taking everything off (you can't do that with Pampers).  However, I think that Pampers are the softest.  Both Huggies and Targer are stiffer, but I'd give them a shot.

Thinking about it though, I do have one DD that didn't seem to want to wear pull ups.  She wanted diapers for a while so I let her wear those and then one night she decided to wanted to wear underpants and has been doing that with no problem (she's also the one that's more annoyed with tags and such so maybe she didn't think the pull ups were comfortable).   If she's doing well, maybe the pp had a good idea about training pants.  We got some Gerber ones at Target and they seem comfortable, heck, maybe better than regular underpants!  I think there are pricier versions on amazon and such that include a waterproof layer.  I think I've heard people mention these and these

  • We never used the pampers but hayden liked the huggies or target brand. i didnt like target as much because the sides came apart easier then huggies and would scratch him.
