Baby Zantac Users...Question!

So my LO was diagnosed with reflux from the start, but she's been gaining weight SUPER slow and she's been spitting up a ton lately, so the doctors finally gave us Zantac to try and see if it helps.  Anyways, we started Zantac last night and my daughter woke up 3 times throughout the night super hungry.  Prior to the Zantac she would wake up once around 2am to eat then she'd be back down.  Did this happen to your LO?  Did they start eating more after taking the Zantac?  Or is this just a coincidence or growth spurt?  Let me know your thoughts!

    My DD was put on Zantac around 3 weeks.  It didn't seem to increase her eating or sleep.  She wasn't a good sleeper to start with though due to the reflux.  She wasn't gaining weight either and was also put on Prevacid.  This hasn't increased her food intake either and she was still spitting up a ton and had only gained 2lbs 4 oz since birth.  We've started giving her cereal with her night time bottle and this seems to be helping with the spit-up so hopefully she will now start putting on weight.  She's such a tiny peanut!

    Hmmm now that you mention it my LO did seem to up his oz intake after starting it.  I didn't even connect the two.  But he use to go 2 1/2-3 hrs during the day and now I have to really stretch him to get to 2 1/2 hrs, if it was up to him he'd eat every 2 hrs all day!  And that's 4 oz each time!

    Thanks for your response!  How much did your baby weigh at birth?  And how much does she weigh now?  My daughter was 6lbs 8oz at birth and now she's 9lbs 4.5oz...she only gained 3lbs in almost 3 months!

    That's great news!  When did your LO start taking the Zantac?  Has he gotten weighed since starting it?  I'm just wondering if it's working!  My daughter goes back next week for a weight check to see if it's making a difference!

    This happened to us too. She started eating more. The doctor said it could be because she wasn't eating before because she knew it would hurt her. But once her tummy stopped hurting she was ok to eat. Our LO is not a big eater though. she usually only has 4 4oz bottles a day.

    At birth she was 6lbs. 5 oz and at her 2 month check up she was 8lbs. 9 oz. Teeny tiny!  My oldest was 11lbs 13oz at 2 months.  Yours is tiny too!
