Full/Queen question

Hope this question even makes sense - do most sheets/blankets come in a full/queen size, or can you buy either (just full, or just queen).  I guess I am wondering what the difference is?

The reason I'm asking is because I had bought a bunch of stuff to fit my DD's full bed, but I'm wondering if it will fit on her sister's queen size bed (like Dora sheets, now that DD has outgrown Dora).  I have to go dig it out and try it on a laundry day, so I thought I'd see if you guys know off hand.

Re: Full/Queen question

  • they are separate sizes- full sheets fit a full bed and queen sheets fit a queen bed...you can try to make it work with those clips that hold sheets around the corner of the bed but if your dd 2 wants sheet you might have to buy them

  • Like abba said, they come in 2 sizes.  But this leads me to a rant, we have a queen size bed and I just bought a new comforter, which comes in full/queen size.  They aren't the same size, and a king sized one would be too big.

  • No - I don't think a king is too big for a queen bed...I only ever buy those and I LOVE not fighting for blankets!!!

We buy those jersey knit sheets from target almost exclusively - and since they are so stretcy the queen size will fit Evan's double and our queen. I can ALMOST fit a double on our queen but the corners end up popping during the night. Which is the WORST :)

  • I can put queen sheets on  the full bed fine.  But full sets will not fit on the queen bed.
