I haven't seen them around this board but maybe I am just not paying attention.

It doesn't make me mad, but I just don't get them. If LO goes through a growth spurt or wakes up b/c of teething pain, do you take them down?

I understand sensitive subjects so I know that little things can set off a string of emotions but I think that working moms rock too. There is absolutely no reason to feel guilty for doing something that is supporting your child.
ETA: Unless you're supporting your child by workin' the pole like Liz does.

I keep telling myself if I didn't work, we wouldn't be able to afford to pay the bills, so DD should appreciate that I keep her in diapers and a roof over her head. I don't have the boobs to work the pole..crap. Although there was a moment today where a student of mine insinuated that I must strip on the side. I was counting the money from the vending machines and had around 450 dollars in $1 bills on my desk and the kid walked in and said "whoa, what have you been doing on the weekends?!". It is so fun working with teenagers.

I think the whole SAHM rock badge isn't to make working moms feel bad, but to make SAHM's feel better about themselves.

I am a SAHM and every time I meet someone and they ask what I do I get the 'your a low life, sit on your azz, mooching bum' look. People make me feel like I am uneducated, can't get a job, or just lazy and taking care of a baby 24/7 isn't a job in itself.

Both sides get crap but I believe SAHM's are very looked down upon now-a-days and I must not be the only one that gets these feelings or there probably wouldn't be a SAHM's rock badge.

P.S I understand that working moms probably get people trying to give them the guilt trip, but usually that would probably be from SAHM's that resent SAH.

I hope my post doesn't offend anyone, it shouldn't. I am just saying that people make SAHM's feel just as bad as some may try to make working moms feel, that's all.

BTW, my sister and I were just discussing how they changed all the cookie names. So I bought "Caramel Delights" instead of Samoas - WTF is up with that? (They were still just as yummy of course.)

Samoas were always my favorite!!! and Tagalongs!!! i don't care what they call them, LOL, yum!!!! DH already has like 6 boxes ordered.
