Although it will take time, I know this is where I will be, ultimately. DH and I want to continue TTC when we're ready and able. So if you don't mind, I'd like to settle in here with you ladies...again.

My bloodwork showed my #'s in the 6000's on Tuesday and 4000's today. My dr called me to confirm my miscarriage. I am so incredibly sad and sort of beside myself. I felt so good and positive about this pregnancy so it's quite a shock. From looking at the u/s on Tuesday, all that developed was the gest.sac and dr said from what she saw of the uterus lining (?) showed about a five week pregnancy when I was truely at 7w4d. With my first m/c in September I had a D&C with zero problems. This time I'm seriously considering letting it happen naturally. I'm spotting now and every now and then I'm feeling very mild cramping. We'll see how it goes and if it gets to be to much emotionally, I can schedule another D&C.

I want to thank a certain TTCALer (she knows who she is Wink ) for taking the time to tell her story of a natural miscarriage. And to all who responded to my post about D&C vs natural m/c. All opinions and advice were well-written and very much appreciated! Although my Dr is not recommending Cytotec for me at this time, she calmed many of the "fears" I had about "spontaneous" (natural) miscarriage. She's wonderful at what she does and I'm so grateful to have her.

Well, this got a wee bit longer than I anticipated but thanks for reading and for all of your love and support. I look forward to offering support whenever I can and hope that we all move to PGAL as soon as possible. HUGS!

I've had 3 natural miscarriages this year and am happy to share my experiences with you or answer any questions you may have....although it sounds like you have a great dr.

Sorry you're back here. I had a natural m/c in November. I don't have anything else to compare it to and while it is painful, it is not unbearable. I was over 8 weeks along - not sure if it would be worse if it were further along than that. I managed the pain with one extra strength tylenol. Good luck and don't feel bad if you have to have another D&C. There's nothing that says natural vs. D&C m/c is better or worse. Hope you feel better soon.
