  We created a small corner of the living room to be the "playroom".  Some toys are in a toy rack and some just here and there.  It does look like TRU has taking over, but I am okay with that.  There are also some toys in a toybox in their bedroom.

  haha... organized? what is that?!

  Evan's toys are mostly in the living room. We have a HUGE rubbermaid tote in the corner and it's filled with everything. His favorite toys (and a some big ones that don't fit inside) are on the top. He also has his Pottery Barn chair in the same corner. A few of his toys (his Buzz Lightyear and Woody, specifically) have to sit in the chair... he likes to "put them to bed"

  He has this ClosetMaid shelf/bookcase in his room, with the fabric bins. One bin has art stuff, one has small cars, one has all his dinosaurs etc. All of his books are on the shelves. Also in his room is his train table.

  Something like a specific train set goes in DD's room.  Sets with lots of little pieces tend to drive me nuts, so I try to delegate those to different rooms so there isn't a lot of mixing of pieces.  Not that you have to worry about that now since I'm sure you don't 'do' little pieces with the baby around, but my girls love little pieces.
  

  We have toys in the play room, family room, and in the girl's rooms.  And some in the basement, but mostly crafts/messy stuff.
