I think we're ready to move onto straw-style sippy cups for our 19 month old. We have used a couple different brands in the past but I'm curious to see what others like for their kids. Please share.
We also have a couple of Camelbak straw bottles, but these are better for older kids because you have to pinch the straw with your teeth to make it work.

we use tommee tippee and they dont leak. I have tried playtex ones as well and have found the best bet for any sippy cup is to wash it by hand vs putting it in the dishwasher
Take and Toss! They have them at Target. They are the only ones that do not leak for me. I have used them for all of my kids - my kids went straight to straw sippy cups when they started drinking milk/water.
I have thrown out every other sippy cup I've ever owned - Playtex, Nuby, Avent. They all leak!
Take and Toss are not good for travel so I got all of my kids water bottles and just use those. I have Sigg, Camelbak and Nalgene water bottles and my kids have no problems with any of them. Sigg is the best IMO.
This is the bigger size -- they also come in a smaller size that has handles. You have to bite the straw, but DD figured it out around 8 months or so (she never used a regular sippy, but the straw kind). They only spill if DD turns it upside down and squishes the straw sideways. They do sort of bubble up through the straw if it's a thicker liquid (like milk) that sits there for a while. Water doesn't seem to do this.
I also like them because DD can open them herself -- so she still uses this kind at night.
These are the hardest to assemble, though. The way the three piece straw fits together takes some muscle.
For during the day, we use two different kinds now. Both come with characters on them (which is why we buy them), but I don't think you have to get characters.
(2) The Thermos Funtainer is our very favorite for when we're out and about -- they're stainless steel and insulated. But they WILL leak if turned upside down. They're also $15 a pop.
(3) The Muchkin straw cups are our usual go-to (they're cheaper than the Thermos ones, so we have more of them). They come in insulated (both character and non-character) and regular clear plastic. We have probably 7 or so of these, and they're good all around cups. Also the best for juice or milk (the others I'll only use for water). DD cannot force these to leak, so that's a huge plus. They will bubble up through the straw if left sitting for a while, again -- mostly with thicker liquids like milk or juice.
I have Munchkin, Nuby, and Playtex. The Playtex are insulated and easier to clean, but if they are left on their side they will leak. The straw on the Munchkin cups don't go down as far and I end up wasting a little bit of milk when I use them. The Munchkins one have a groove in the middle which makes them stay in place when on the adjustable sippy cup pouch on my diaper bag. The Playtex ones are smooth and have occasionally fallen out. I don't like the Nuby style straws. They are harder for DD to drink out of and really hard to clean. The straws do not hold up well over time either.
Re: Recommend your straw-style sippy cups
Yeah no kidding. The elusive non-leaking cups maybe don't exist?
I think we've had those before... I'll keep them on the list.
DD1: allergic to eggs & dairy
c/p 4/1/11
DD2: milk and soy protein intolerant, allergic to eggs, soy, peanuts, tree nuts, sesame, bananas

DD has a bunch of the Munchkin ones.

We use playtex - they do leak though
These are neat, but expensive: https://www.amazon.com/ZoLi-BOT-Sippy-Cup-Orange/dp/B0031E1GEQ/ref=sr_1_1?s=baby-products&ie=UTF8&qid=1327672678&sr=1-1
Another Munchkin family here.

(1) The first ones we used are the Nuby Straw Sippies, which are pretty good --
