I'm such a baby when it comes to needles. My husband laughs at me because I give him an injection twice weekly and I'm so nervous about giving myself one.
It just seems like it would be painful going into my stomach! I'm excited to get things going though!
Wish me luck ladies!

Re: Starting follistim tonight
Im starting tonight too! This is my second time doing it. Its really no big deal! It doesnt hurt
The needle is so tiny, lol....
The worst part is the part right before you stick yourself. By far.
Here is the video I made the first time I did it to myself. Enjoy lol
Just don't forget to dial the meds like I did
Oh my goodness I can't believe you had to stab yourself twice! Poor thing! Thanks for sharing, it did calm my nerves a little.

You'll barely feel the Follistim needle! I was terrified of stabbing myself initially, too, but it's really not as bad as you imagine. Good luck
Me = lean PCOS;DH = poor morphology (3%)
3 IUI/TI cycles = BFN
IVF #1 with ICSI: antagonist protocol = BFFN
IVF #2 with ICSI : Lupron downregulation = BFFN...FML
IVF #3 with ICSI and AH (Antagonist) = IT'S A BOY!!!!
IVF #1 with ICSI - ER 1/20 (16R, 12M, 10F), ET 1/23 (1-10 cell and 1-8cell transferred), BFP on 1/31 Beta #1 on 2/3 = 68, Beta #2 on 2/6 = 261 EDD 10/12/12
HEHE Im glad I could help alleviate your fear a bit
Good luck! I started Follistem 2 nights ago. A little tip - everytime i do it, i leave myself with bruises so I have DH do them...he is great at it!
A little tip from my friend whose wife went through IVF...include the husband. He said they don't get to do much except the "donation" so they tend to feel left out and feel a bit helpless that you have to go through all that and all he can do it watch. He is the one that suggested DH do the shot. I have to say DH was so excited now that he is more involved! He really likes being included even if its the small things
Good luck!
Just pretend its a dart. It only hurt when I didnt use enough "force" and went in slowly.
