Don't Know If I Belong Here

Hello,

My name is Sammi and I am a mom of 3 week old identical twin girls. One of my daughters was diagnosed at 1 week old with Juvenile Diabetes. I was wondering if there are any other moms on here with Diabetic children or if there is another group I should join. TIA

Twin Girls born on January 1st 2012:Brooklyn Avery(Brooke) & Eliana Meredith(Ellie)
Ellie and Brooke both have Juvenile Diabetes
Adopted a Brother and Sister in January of 2012
Levi Ryan-October 25th 2007 and Caroline Paige(Carly)-July 23rd 2009
Jonah Samuel born April 21st 2013
Expecting Baby #6-June 2014!

    I'm not sure if there are other moms on here but I have a friend with a toddler who was recently diagnosed.  I know she has found a lot of support including a local group through www.jdrf.org

    It may be a good starting off point for you.  I hope things go well for both of your girls.

    Just noticed this post... I don't recall anyone on here who has a baby with diabetes, but there may be. (?) Have you looked for a yahoo group? They seem to have a pretty huge assorted of specific medical diagnosis ... This group represents a large variety of diagnoses and so many of us have kids with very rare issues, but I've still always found this a great place for support.
