I just got my Mirena yesterday and I was super nervous. I even told FI I wanted to leave once we were there and he kept saying the same thing that it was nothing compared to giving birth but I still didn't want to be there LOL.
It really was nothing. It was no more painful/uncomfortable than a pelvic exam. The worst part is that it made me really crampy afterwards but a nurse told me to take advil (or whatever you take for period cramps) before going and I think that really did help.

I was nervous about getting Mirena. I didn't feel a thing. All I felt was a instrument/tool that slipped out when my OB was done. No cramping afterwards either.
I got my Mirena put in on Tuesday. I was nervous, but all I felt was the instruments and a little cramping afterwards. Psyched myself up for nothing. 3 minutes in and out.
Re: IUD goes in tomorrow... I'm nervous.
