So, before my m/c we TTA one cycle and my chart showed a 8 day LP. I thought it was a fluke. I just charted this cycle (my 2nd post m/c) and I had another 8 day LP!! Ugh! What gives? I called my OB just see if we could get the ball rolling but then I missed her call and then the office was closed. Bleh.
Baby #3 is on the way! EDD 3/8/15

Re: Anyone know anything about LP defect?
Yeah, I've suspected LP defect of myself before. Spoke to my OB and she didn't suspect it based on symptoms, but wrote the orders to test me during my next cycle (it was already too late for this one). BUT, my next cycle was PERFECT as was the one after that. So, I agree that you may well get back to normal after a couple more cycles. I know, probably not comforting at all. The waiting is the hardest part.
I don't have an official LPD Dx, but I would be surprised if I ever got one. My LPs have been at 9 days every cycle since I started charting a year ago. After I had 3 full cycles charted (documenting my 9 day LPs), I called my OBGYN. She didn't believe I was Oing late and said I was 'fine'. Since my cycle was 28 days she said I O'd on CD 14
She also went on to say that short LPs were not a problem and flat out refused to test my progesterone- even after I got my 2nd BFP!
My new OBGYN (as well as my current RE) both feel my short LPs are cause for my pregnancy losses. I do want to say that my old OBGYN was just on the other side of the fence. This is a very controversial Dx and not all medical professionals believe it's an issue. If your OBGYN does not think it's a problem and you still feel it is, I suggest finding a new OBGYN. It doesn't make them 'bad' but you need to be an advocate for YOU!
GL to you!
