Since a couple of you said you would have similar situations.
Instead of my pump bag, I brought a very large stylish purse that was large enough for my freestyle and my netbook
I had to be at work way earlier than normal. I got up at 5, showered and got ready and then nursed LO. I left the house around 6:40. I pumped in the car for about 10 minutes just to be sure I started off empty-ish. We got to the hotel around 7:45. I did the mingle, eat breakfast thing and then snuck away at around 8:30. I did pump in the bathroom -- I just felt that it would be way too conspicuous to be away long enough to talk to hotel staff about where to pump. Not that I should care, but I do. It really wasn't that big of a deal. I stood to pump and wore my hands free bra. Everything ran late and the schedule got compressed, so lunch turned into grab food and then sit back down to listen to another presenter. I snuck away anyways. I had too. So, I missed the first part of one presentation, but oh well. So, I pumped during breakfast and lunch in the bathroom and then did my third pump after everything was done, back in the mother's room at my office building
Re: Conference Pumping Report
I'm glad that things worked out and you were able to sneak away, even if it wasn't the most comfortable location.
On a different note, I want to look into getting a hands-free bra. This is a dumb question, but can you walk around with it on/pumping? I love the concept, but only if it meant I could be mobile.
That depends on what kind of pump you have. With my freestyle, you definitely can walk around with it and do simple things like unload the dishwasher, fold laundry, stir dinner, etc You want to be careful about bending over too far. I do get less output if I walk around like that while pumping though.

LO #1 - Took 2 years and 2 IVFs ~ DX - severe MFI mild PCOS homozygous MTHFR (a1298c)
LO #2 - TTC 7 months, surprise spontaneous BFP!
I've never used another pump so I have nothing to compare to, but it is very nice that I can shove it in a purse

I stored the milk in an insulated bottle bag in my giant purse. We did travel by car (it was in town)
I have traveled several times as a pumping mom by plane and car out of state, but never for a work trip which tends to have more time/schedule constraints

I'm glad I have plenty of time to figure out how I'm going to pump and store, travel w/milk etc. so I'm sure I'll be asking about that advice here at some point! The things we do for our LOs... I'm sure I'm just getting started
