We live just down the street from where Ian will be going to school. The other day, DH said to me, "Did you see the sign for K registration? That will be us next year."

I was ready to cry. I don't want my baby to grow up just yet!

I have to call and get the paperwork for Charlie for next year. I am dragging my feet because I am kind of in denial that my BABY is going to kindergarten. I didn't think I'd feel that emotional about it, he's already in UPK 5 half days a week at the elementary school...

I know! Ian is in a preschool classroom in his daycare 5 days a week, so you think it would be no big deal, but Kindergarten just seems so much more ....real?

I hear you! In the fall, my kids will be starting preschool and Kindergarten, so that will be a big adjustment!

I know! Justin starts pre-school in the Fall. I'm not so anxious about that since it's only a few days a week. However, the thought of him going to kindergarten scares me. The whole bus thing freaks me out!

I agree, it was a mix of emotion just filling out the reg paperwork for 2 day preschool this fall! We are #2 on a wait list for mornings, but it is a good chance he will make it. I will have a newborn and a preschooler this fall...crazy times ahead!

There is something about the kindergarden milestone! Tyler's K registration is MARCH 15! I can't believe it, he is going to be FIVE! He has been going to school 5 days a week since he was three, but this time he will be going to a big school with big KIDS. And worse, on the BUS with BIG KIDS. Even though he rides the bus now, it is different. He rides in the short bus with a car seat and other 3 and 4 yr olds. The teachers go on the bus to get him and I put him on and off right at the bus door, they wont let him off without me. Next year, he will be let off down the street with or without me and I suspect he will be on his own to the classroom where it will be 26 kids to ONE teacher, no aides! Gulp!

I may just follow the bus to school, park in the street and watch with binoculars every day!
