please recommend your convertible car seat

I need a second car seat and I'm looking for a convertible car seat that will last us a while. Right now we have a britax infant car seat and it's a monster - so big it doesn't fit well in a Nissan Altima so I'd like something smaller that I can put behind the passenger seat with no problem.

we have the recaro prosport as our convertible. Its pretty big but fits well in my Jetta. John has an Altima and we will be getting him the same carseat soon. We do put it behind driver side because it blocks my view out the passenger window if its on the passenger side.

We have two Recaros too. Love them and the kids seem to like them too. When Crash grows out of his, I will also get a Recaro booster.

I drive an Altima and I have the Britax Boulevard 70, it's great. It actually takes up less room rear facing than the infant seat did. DH drives a smaller car than the Altima and he has the Marathon 70.

You can go to BRU and they'll let you take them out to your car to see how they'll fit.

Lol, I was just starting to think about what convertible seats will fit in my Mustang. I will have to check out these suggestions.
