Hi ladies!
I'm not on this board but thought you might be able to answer my q. I have an IUI scheduled for 9am tomorrow and the nurse left a voicemail saying "go ahead and trigger when you get this message." WTF. What if I didn't check my messages until 10pm?
Do I trigger now assuming that 15-18 hours before IUI is good?
Do I wait until 5pm or later?
Just wondering what the norm is and when would be ideal.
I had 3 IUIs in 2009 so I am a little rusty.   Thank you!!
Re: Question about trigger and IUI
IVF #1 with ICSI - ER 1/20 (16R, 12M, 10F), ET 1/23 (1-10 cell and 1-8cell transferred), BFP on 1/31 Beta #1 on 2/3 = 68, Beta #2 on 2/6 = 261 EDD 10/12/12
Did they check your LH? If they saw you were already beginning to surge, they may think you'll ovulate sooner than the standard 24-36 hrs after the trigger.
Last cycle, they saw a surge on CD11, had me trigger that afternoon (4ish) and were going to bring me in the next morning for the IUI. The nurse didn't realize we were only doing TI.

The did do bloodwork this morning but I'm not sure what they were looking at aside from estradiol. Oh well. I gave myself the trigger about an hour ago after seeing everyone else gets 24-48.
