itchy itchy itchy!!!!! anyone else?

in 1st Trimester

ever since I found out I'm pregnant I've been breaking out in random little bumpy itchy spots all freakin' over.  it's driving me insane!  don't know what I can take for it as we see our OB on Monday but cheese&rice it's annoying.

 anyone else go through this?

    Yes and I have scratched myself so badly I've drawn blood a few times. I keep lathering up in Curel lotion and Jergens with Shea Butter. It helps some, but only temporarily. I think the cold weather isn't helping much either.

    I bought some Eucerin calming lotion the other day but it's not doing anything to help.  Read in my book that Benadryl is considered safe but don't want to pop one till I've seen my OB Monday.  I haven't drawn blood yet but find myself smacking the areas when I can't take scratching anymore.  So annoying!

    Me too and ditto on drawing blood. I thought maybe my allergies were acting up so my ob said I could take Clairitin as needed but stay away from anything w/ antihistamine in it. Clairitin has helped A LOT!

    good to know.  I'm probably remembering it wrong, left the book at home.  Won't take anything until I see our OB for the first time Monday.  Can't wait to get the itchies to stop!

    So weird!  I didn't put 2 and 2 together!  I was getting super itchy too, but just attributed it to dry skin and the cold weather.  Interesting that it might be linked to being preggers!  I wonder why?

    a girlfriend & two time mommy told me it's due to the hormones going crazy.  I'd almost have puking m/s than this.

    Thank goodness this is normal. I was terrified that I brought bedbugs from my last apartment! I've been itchy as heck. My OB ok'ed Benadryl yesterday, and I have some relief.

    please. stop. the. itching.

     ahhh!  i have little "dry" bumps all over my back, too.  what the heck are they?  they feel like tiny pimples.  i can never get relief from the itching!!!

    My skin is crazy dry... I used to have to wash my hair every other day, now it's almost only once a week. Even when I'd shower I'd be itching and scratching. One thing that has helped... Putting oil on right after I shower. Lotion doesn't cut it for me. I've been using Johnson & Johnson Baby Oil. I use it everywhere - boobs, stomach, legs, butt, arms, etc. I use a thicker face cream for my face though.
