DS just said his second two-word phrase- "Bye-bye Daddy"! DH almost melted he was so happy. Other than that he's been sick this past week and has been a holy terror.
DD1 has started fibbing on a pretty regular basis. About things like whether or not she has flushed the toilet, washed her hands, put on her clothes in the morning, etc. This is one of those weird brags that I know you guys understand.
Yesterday we were having a conversation during lunch and she was misbehaving. I started giving her a 1-2-3 count (we use 1-2-3 magic) and she told me that she gets to count. I laughed and asked her who she was counting for, and she told me she gets to count for Elsa, and started telling DD2 that she was going to get a TO when DD1 got to three. Then she proceeded to scold DD2 for three "infractions" like eating messily, with a count for each one, and told her to go to TO.
Of course I intervened in Little Miss Bossy's "discipline," but it was neat to see her experimenting with the role.
I've also been informed by DD1 that when she gets bigger, she will drive me around.
The best news ever this week! I took DS2's walker to daycare this past Friday to see if using it around the other kids would be a motivator for him to use it. Apparently it WAS! In PT, it has been hell to try and get him to use it. Well, this past Tuesday there was no issue at all! I was thrilled and so was the PT! Looks like I'll be hauling around the walker back and forth from daycare to PT. He even looked for it today at daycare and says "walk" when he sees it. I am so excited about this!!!
