Car Seat Question

How tight is to tight for the straps? My husband said I have the straps to tight (I have it so one finger fits between the baby and straps tightly). I told him they can't be to tight. Although now I am thinking he is right, because she cries when she gets in the seat so today I loosened the straps and she was smiling at me. When I started to tightened them she began to cry. So how tight does eveyone has there straps??

I was told by the officer that did the car seat inspection that you shouldn't be able to pinch the top of the strap

Ditto, I do the pinch test.

That's what I was told too, I tighten them little by little until I can't pinch anymore. My LO doesn't like the straps tightened at all though, so she still cries when I do it. She settles down as soon as the car starts moving though so I know she is fine
