Had a D & C yesterday

Hello ladies. After having a 2nd ultra sound with just a sac and 2nd blood test showing HCG levels went down, I was scheduled for a d& c today. However, Monday afternoon into evening I started naturally miscarrying. Going through thiS for the time with a first pregnancy, I am handling it pretty well.I knew when I got my blood results Sat morning ( they went down) it wasn't going to be a happy ending. I had some time to brace myself for what came Monday. My husband took it very badly. He is doing Much better now . We both believe everything happens for a reason. I wanted to ask others how long they waited to get pregnant again? My dr says 4 months, do you really need to wait that long?

So sorry for your loss. I just had my D&C yesterday. I was 9 weeks and went in for my 3rd u/s where they found no HB. I was devastated and still am. My Dr. Told me to wait until I get my 1st period and we can start TTC'ing again. Everyone is different and some people need more time. It's also very important to listen to you Dr.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Most people are told to wait anywhere from 1-3 cycles, but 4 definitely isn't unheard of. I'm sure your doctor has a reason to have you wait. If you have concerns about this length of time, you're entitled to ask your doctor for an explanation. Definitely listen to your doctor, though. (hugs)

Sorry to hear about your loss. You seem to be handling it very well and if you need an outlet, this board is great.

My doctor told me 1 cycle, but like PP's said, ask you doctor for an explanation as to why you need to wait longer. GL!

So sorry for your loss. You will find great support here. My Dr said to wait until after my first period to TTC again. But I think everyone is different.

So sorry for your loss. My doctor told me to wait until I got my period before ttc again. If you think 4 months is too long, ask your doctor why. The normal wait period is 1-3 cycles.

Hello, I'm so sorry for your loss. Our stories are very similar, 2nd ultrasound, just the sac, and then the sucky miscarriage. My Doctor told me to wait one period and then we can TTC again. I wish you all the best and hope in the world!! It will happen for us!
