Have you told DD/DS?

For those of you with LO, just wondering if you have told them yet & if so how old are they & when/how did you tell them?

We were thinking of waiting until the NT scan. We definitely haven't told him yet though because I think he will tell everyone in the world once he knows. Lol . I feel like I am the only one who hasn't told their LO on here...but that probably isn't the case.

We haven't told DS yet. He is nine and I know he wouldn't keep it a secret. I am dying to tell him, but we are waiting till our 12 week apointment

My DS is just going on 6 and would be so excited and August is a long time to wait, so we are holding off on telling him for a bit yet!

Yes, she's known for a while now. She's only two, but she likes to tell everyone "There's a baby in my mama's belly!". And it's kinda funny, but she'll sit and thumb through my pregnancy books for, like, a half hour straight. She loves the weekly pictures. Silly girl.

My 2.5 yo knows, because he kept jumping on my stomach. So I said to him don't do that there is something very important in there and he says "is there a baby in there?". We then told him it was a secret and so far he hasn't told anyone. That I know of anyways! Lol

I told my almost-9-year-old daughter a few days after I found out because I wanted her to feel like she was in on the secret, and also so we could talk openly about it around her. I know, however, that she is amazing at keeping secrets. (She won't even give me one little hint about what my husband got me for my birthday next week We took a walk down to the park and I told her the news while we were swinging on the swings. I also got to slip in a little birds-and-the-bees talk while we were talking about stuff. Gotta take advantage of those teachable moments!

I told my daughter. I trust her. The trick is to telling them it's a secret. Then again, she is 9 so she is older and understands what secrets are. She's very excited about having a brother/sister. I'm hoping she'll make a great sitter!

We're waiting until we're ready to tell the rest of the family, which will be after our NT scan next week. I think we're going to take him with us to our scan (i've had 3 u/s and everything looks good so I'm confident that it will be a calm appointment) so he can see that there really is a baby in there. He understands the concept of a baby is in a mommy's belly and then it comes out once the baby gets to big to fit but I think it'll make even more sense if he gets to see it. We haven't decided yet, I'll let you know a week from tomorrow!

We told DD a couple of weeks ago she is 15 months and to her understanding sl"she is having a baby from her belly button" she keeps touching it and saying baby! Are you from CT?

I didn't tell my boys yet. They're 26 months and I know they will point and tell everyone. When it's public knowledge, I will tell them.
