We're going to buy a Britax Frontier 85 for my car for DD, but I don't know that we want to spend $200+ on a second booster seat for DH's car. Can you please recommend your more economical but safe booster seats? TIA.

Re: Recommend your booster seat
If you're looking for a combination seat (harnessed to booster) an evenflo maestro is a good bet. Top harness slots are 18 inches (2 inches shorter than frontier) and the weight limit on the harness is 50 lbs, then it becomes a high back booster. You'll need a dedicated booster later but it's a good seat.
If she has the maturity to sit correctly 100% of the time and you're comfortable putting her in a high back booster, the graco turbobooster consistently gets great reviews as far as fitting most kids well in most cars. It's a high back then backless booster seat, so it would be the last seat you would need for her for that car.
Just an FYI, any seat on the market passes the same pass/fail testing, so they're treated as equivalent for safety. Some have nicer features (higher harness height or weight limits, features that make them easier to install correctly, cupholders, etc) but all seats are equally safe provided they are used correctly (meaning installed correctly and used for the intended age, weight and maturity).
My favorite is the Frontier, but a close second is the Graco Nautilus.
