For those of you using a dresser rather than a changing table, are you using something to keep all of your supplies handy? I thought about using the top dresser drawer, but I think I'd rather have some sort of tabletop storage that is functional and cute. Should I just get a small basket? I registered and received this:
Only after I received this gift I read the HORRIBLE reviews online. Unfortunately I agree, the thing doesn't hold up well and is enormous - way bigger than I planned so now I think I'm going to exchange it for something more practical.

Re: What are you using for diaper/wipe storage for changing area?
Welcome to the world, Baby W: born on 3/8/12 @ 3:49pm - 8lb 11 oz, 22 in.
Im using a built in desk that happens to be in the room, but we are storing in baskets. Even if we were using the dresser (which I considered), I was going to have baskets on a shelf nearby.
These are $4 each from Ikea...
I've been using the Prince Lionheart Diaper Depot of over 2 years now. I have no complaints.

This, except we have white wicker baskets instead of canvas storage bins.
We received this as a gift to hang on the side of our changing table. We'll see how useful it is. Seems a little too fragile to me
We are using a dresser. There's just enough space next to the changing pad for a small basket. So I have a pink basket that I've filled with creams, baby powder, a small # of diapers and wipes. My issue is that the large wipes container doesn't fit in the basket, and it looks messy to be out of the basket. So I have one of those slim wipes holders. I figure I'll just replenish the basket with wipes and diapers as I get low. Otherwise, the dresser has three drawers and a large vertical cabinet. I can always store a larger basket down there.
I have this. Never had a problem with it while using it for DD. It even fit our cloth prefolds. I put the non scratchy side of some adhesive velcro to the bottom inside to keep it from scratching the dresser.
Our nursery bedding set came with a diaper stacker, so we'll be hanging that off the side of the dresser. As to the rest, we're utilizing the top drawer for the wipes, diaper cream, etc. It's a rather LARGE dresser, so there are plenty of drawers to spare.
When he gets older, though. . .that's a different story. Might have to rearrange our configuration when we get him more clothes and things.
I'm not sure how long our dresser is but if it allows I will have a basket next to the changing pad. If that doesn't work, I will try and find something similar to this. I would never pay that much for a shelf but it is cute..

I'm still a little leary of keeping anything above LO head though, I'm pretty clumsy...
We're getting one of these for the top of the dresser, all extras will be stored in the cupboard part of the dresser.
This is super cute! Where did you find it? Can you tell me what brand it is?
It's the Sara Bear Diaper Caddy, it comes in several different colors, and I know it's carried by BRU and Target, you may be able to find it other places as well.
