I am 1 day overdue

So I get to spend my morning doing a fluid U/S NST etc.   Better safe than sorry I guess- If LO wants to take her time that's fine, I just wish she would tell me when she plans to make her entrance b/c the anticipation is making me batty! For those who have done NSTs, any tips-I hear they can be terribly long.

Re: I am 1 day overdue

  • When I had NSTs with DD they were absolutely no less than 20 minutes of being on the strip.  So the whole NST appt would take a good 30 minutes in the least.  Luckily all you have to do is lay there :)  I think the thing that takes the longest is just waiting for a doc to give you the 'okay' to go.  So it depends on how busy they are.

I hope everything goes well for you!

  • Luckily, MH came with me for mine.  My nurse was really nice and politely chatted with me for part of it and left the room for some.  I was hooked up probably around 30-45 minutes.  Then I had an u/s and bloodwork and they hooked me back up to the NST for a second run through.  I pulled out my phone and texted my family the second time.
