UGH! Obsessions gone wild

Jon is currently obsessed with Star Wars.  At first I gave in thinking at least it was age appropriate and something different than cutting things which was the last obsession.  Now he's coming home from school and running upstairs, putting a DVD in and watching the Star Wars movies.  He asked me to take him on a date for Valentine's day so he could see the movies in 3D.  Today he told his brothers that he was putting on Episode 4 and quizzing them on it.  If they passed his quiz they could be a member of the Star Wars fan club.

    Auntie, that's kinda what I'm thinking. I had just given them back and it's right back to where he was this summer. He'd do nothing but watch the movies this summer. He and I do go on "dates" as much as we can. I do with all the kids trying to give them one on one time but it needs to be a healthy thing.  I usually take someone to the grocery store with me on the weekend just to get out and I take Chris every other week to Costco with me. He has a 1/2 day of school every other Monday and he enjoys going to the "free sample store".
