Recommended obstetrician who practices at lenox hill?

I met with Dr. Jovanovic, he is super nice and pleasant. The only concern I have is that he has a plastic surgery business, I guess I never come across any ob/gyn has other specialty. On one hand, it shows how smart he is but on the other hand, I worry how expereince he is in actual delivery. Pokeybear1, what is your experience with him so far?
This is not uncommon for OBs. OBs have the highest malpractice insurance rates but reimbursement rates from insurance companies are pretty low. Doing cosmetic procedures for cash only can ease the financial differential. But a lot of OBs aren't board certified in plastic surgery. They just rely on their general surgical training and post-residency courses and workshops.
Dr Jovanovic took over when my obgyn left for a new practice out on Long Island. I was five weeks from my due date and had a complicated weird pregnancy. He normally doesn't take patients that far along, but he was the obgyn for my primary physician's Daughter in Law and had just delivered my primary's grandkid. My primary doesn't mess around and if he would let him deliver his grandkid, it was good enough for me and his name got me in on such short notice.
He was fantastic with me and I plan to stick with him for as long as I can. Honestly, if it wasn't for noticing his dual board certifications and the literature in the office, I never would have known about the plastics thing. He never mentioned it to me at all, not even a tiny bit.
I got sick a few weeks after DD was born, it was pretty clear that it had nothing to do with the birth itself, but he had me in his office the same day just in case and kept following up with me even though it turned out to be a gall bladder thing.
