Thankfully, everyone is ok, but I'm a wreck. We got T-boned at an intersection this afternoon. I had my two boys and the little boy we carpool with in the car. The (college age) girl ran the red light and hit us. I did not see what she was doing/looking at, but I suspect she was texting or something b/c her light was red for a good 2-3 seconds and she just didn't stop on the slick road (I was almost all the way across the intersection - she was in the far right lane).
I bawled talking to H on the phone. Freaked him out. Nobody was hurt, thankfully, and thankfully the impact was on the front panel & front passenger door - the only seat in the entire car where no one was sitting. I'm just so rattled and weepy thinking about all the 'what ifs.' That was some scary sh*t. Definitely squeezing my boys a little harder tonight and counting my blessings.

March 2012- Dx with PCOS, started metformin

So so scary. I'm glad everyone is okay. We got t-boned in December and we still have some residual pain and bruises. Every time I look at photos of the car it makes me cringe for what could have been. Be sure and take care of yourself it hurts worse over the next few days and you'll have bruises that are shocking shades of purple.
I hope she had insurance! We've found that process frustrating but are glad they totalled our car I don't want to drive a car anymore that had all the airbags deploy.
I hope things go smoothly for you... stupid college girl.

Thanks, ladies. I think I have started to calm down. I was still pretty jumpy last night. I guess all the adrenaline.
It could have been much, much worse. The kids don't even seem fazed. I am a tiny bit sore this a.m., but no bruising or apparent injury. Now the insurance bs starts (at least she has insurance, though!). We are so, so lucky no one was hurt seriously. If the insurance stuff is the worst to come of all of it, I'll be thanking my lucky stars.
