Myla's Birth Story

Myla Jane is finally here! She was born at 2:22pm on January 23rd. She is 19 and 1/2 inches long and 7lbs 7oz. I was scheduled to be induced, and started having contractions early Monday morning before I even went in. I was 3cm and 80% when they first checked me. They gave me some Pitocin and I progressed to a 4 almost immediately. They broke my water and I started to progress very quickly. I was going to wait on the epidural, but the contractions became unbearable. The epidural was amazing! I was able to relax and enjoy the rest of the process. My OB let me labor down for quite awhile. I started pushing about 1:50pm. They had to use forceps because Myla was getting exhausted. I only pushed for 30 mins and there she was! There was meconium in the amniotic fluid when they broke my water, but Myla was completely fine. She is healthy and beautiful and perfect!
