Potty training resources?

We think we want to try and potty train DS.  He already has a potty at the IL's house that he helped choose.  He's obsessed with that potty.  He doesn't like being wet or dirty.  He usually starts reaching for his diaper once it gets dirty.  He's been doing this since...maybe Septemberish?  Anyway, we've got the pull-ups ready to go but I just have no clue where to go from here as far as trying to get him to let us know when he needs to go to the potty rather than letting us know when he's already gone.  Anybody have any recommendations on what to read/what to do next?

    I would recommend buying lots of wine.  For you.  I'm in the middle of potty training hell right now.  I swear, we might have to look into homeschooling because at this point I'm convinced Kate will be wearing diapers when she's 16.  #)&@#

    I wish I had helpful advice, but I don't.  Good luck!  Maybe he'll be easy.  Emily's practically potty training herself.

    i would skip the pull ups (except for sleeping maybe) and go straight to underwear. the way daycare did it was have DD in panties so she feels the accident. they take them to the potty every 15 minutes. all day. it was a long time before she'd go on her own without us having to remind her. reward for every time he goes in the potty. we did jelly beans or dum dums. i'm sure there are some good websites or books out there, but we basically just took her all the time and rewarded her for going in the potty.
