Poop vent

LO only poops once a day or once every other day, so I guess I can't really complain since there are some people who have babies that poop with every feeding. However, why does that once a day have to be at 4 am every single time? At least now when he poops he makes all sorts of chatty noises and smiles and it makes it much more pleasant.

Still, this morning, we wake up at 4 for his feeding and I checked him to see if he had pooped before I changed his diaper. If he poops I lay out all sorts of papertowels since I change him in his crib and i don't want to get poo all over it. He hadn't gone. I walk away for a second and come back and unsnap his diaper and it's full. No big deal, I snap it back up and set up the paper towels. I get him all cleaned up and about to put on the new diaper when BAM! Not only does he poop more, but it shoots out of him like a rocket, goes across the crib leaving a streak of green on the sheet, through the bars of the crib and all down my pajama pants leg. What a little butthole. Just what I wanted to do at 4 am, change his crib bedding (waterproof matress pad and sheet only but still) and try to wash poop off my leg and change pjs, while trying to keep the dogs from licking it off the floor while trying to get his new diaper on him.

The worst part is that he was smiling like a goon the entire time and I swear he almost laughed when it shot out. Like "haha mommy, I pooped on you again, like right when I was born!" I can't wait until I'm old and decrepid and he has to change my diapers.
