Now that your LO is drinking cow's milk-how much is s/he drinking per day?
We're still doing 3-8oz bottles of whole milk. Just wondering if we should cut out that middle bottle now.
Feeding schedules are the worst-I'm always worried that she's not getting enough. It was so much easier when they're little and strictly bottle fed!
Re: Whole Milk LOs
I do 3 8 oz bottles too. The pedi said to keep it between 16oz and 24 oz. I try to stick to three solid meals with snacks in between.
Breakfast- 8 oz bottle and oatmeal.
snack- cheerios, fruit, or goldfish
lunch- quesidilla, sandwich, or something RTF, and her second 8 oz bottle.
snack- same as above.
Dinner- Whatever we are having.
Her last 8 oz bottle to go to sleep.
DD drinks two 8 oz bottles of formula in the morning and before bed. I have over 400 oz of breast milk in my freezer that she refuses to take from a bottle, but she'll drink cold from a sippy cup! So she's gets a sippy with EBM at her 3 meals, and probably drinks a total of 8-10oz of that.
I can't get JT to drink that much - he usually has on average 7 or 8 oz of WCM per day - I give it in a sippy only at every meal and most snacks and then in the middle of the day. I cut out 1 nursing session in the afternoon and I always offer milk then too.
I don't have set times for meals, snacks, and sippy and I probably should I think. I dunno
I still nurse 3 times a day...and he doesn't eat all that much at most meals (but does eat breakfast like a champ).
