We have a Baby Bjorn but I have heard so many negative things about them recently that I'm looking into getting another carrier for DD. What are your reccomendations? I've heard great things about the Moby, but am open to anything. TIA

Re: Baby wearing- which is best?
Anything is better than a Bjorn.
That said, I don't like my Moby. Mei tai is okay. I have an Ergo and it is great.
Pipsqueak born 6/9/14
I'm curious as to what makes the Beco better than the Bjorn?
More comfortable for mom and doesn't put all baby's weight on his crotch.
The difference in the level of comfort for me is immense. The straps are nicely padded and it holds him really tight against me so it doesnt pull on my back, plus there's lower back support. It is just crazy comfortable, while the Bjorn is merely tolerable. Malso you can back carry with it, which the Bjorn can't do. Thats going to come in handy for hiking this summer!
I have two Mobys, which are great. There's a learning curve to putting them on, but it's easy once you get it. I put it on at home if I'm going out, then just put her in/out at the car, so no dealing with it dragging on the ground.
I've used a K'tan, but don't have one - easy to put on, but wears very similarly to a Moby. It's a pretty cool design - takes the good parts about the Moby, but w/o being annoying to put on.
I also am loving my Maya Wrap ring sling - easy to put on, adjustable, comfortable, plus I love the colors
And the long tail and adjustability (without removing LO from it) is great for nursing. Actually went on a tour, walking around buildings and outside, while nursing
It was great!
We have a Freehand Mei Tai as well, which DH uses a lot around the house. Less convenient for going out shopping and such b/c the ties are so long and you have to untie them to put LO in it, but great for going on walks and such where you can put the babe in it at home. I don't like it as much for a little babe because she slumps a lot when she falls asleep, but I think it will be great when she's a bit bigger.
So, for shopping trips with only one stop (grocery store) and around the house, I prefer the Moby. For shopping with many stops (in and out of the car and the carrier), and for nursing convenience, I like the ring sling. I think I'll like the Mei Tai more in a couple more months as she grows, but it's great for ease of use and for walks/hikes. DH likes it the best as it's simpler than the wrap or sling.
Overall, I love babywearing! It's the only way I get anything done
Cooked most of dinner last night while nursing Caroline in the sling - fantastic!
