Hi. I usually just lurk here, but my body is freaking out, and I was hoping someone would have some insight or support or, well, something.
AF came three days early, so I naturally didn't test (I usually don't, unless I'm late).
When it came time to start using my CBEFM I was still bleeding, but it gave me a peak reading. Same thing the next day. Used an OPK just to see if it would be positive. It was. And then I remembered seeing someone on these boards having a positive OPK that ended up being a pregnancy. So the next morning I took a pregnancy test, and it was positive.
That was Friday. I called my doctor, who ordered a blood draw, but gave me no information as far as what might be happening, what to expect, etc.
My HCG level Friday was 96 and I had another blood draw yesterday but haven't gotten the phone call with the results yet.
This is probably a chemical pregnancy, right? You can't bleed for fifteen days and stay pregnant, can you?
Update: Second beta was 82. So yeah, it was (is?) a miscarriage.
For now, I'm considering it progress, since we've been TTC for two years and never had a BFP at all. We see the RE a week from today, so hopefully this means our journey won't be as long and drawn out as I had originally feared.
Re: Chemical Pregnancy? (longish) (updated)
Yes you can.
Good luck with your second beta!
ETA: I've had a CP. The bleeding lasted just about as long as my period normally would (so like 5 days) and I was getting negative tests by 17DPO.
BFP 1/18/11, EDD 10/1/11. Born at 37w5d on 9/15/11.

Same for me. I didn't bleed until my beta hit 0. Good luck!

I'm not sure. I have learned that anything is possible though.

When I had my CP, I had TERRIBLE TERRIBLE cramps and lots and lots of blood. It was very different from period cramps and bleeding.
