how do you prevent leaking at night?

i have been wearing disposible pads and then putting cut up towel strips around the outside of the pad..but still wake up leaking through my bra/tank top and shirt.

its getting frustrating to have to change in the middle of the night.

any suggestions? thanks!!

I opted not to sleep in a bra and used a waterproof pad under me at night. I would just change the pad every day.

Bamboobies overnight pads. Haven't leaked through them once.

My son ate every hour all night long so I never had that problem but I know some moms use maxi pads cut to the right size as breast pads especially at night.

I don't know what brand they are, but a friend gave me some washable cotton breastpads. They are heavier than the disposables, and I think the pressure keeps me from leaking. Also, maybe try putting the cotton towel right against your skin? that may apply a little more pressure. I've also gotten some tighter sports bras to wear, especially around home and I don't care about bulges.

With DS1 I had the same problem. I used pads and then stuffed my nursing bra with baby wash cloths. I also had to pump right before bed and wake up to feed the baby.

Pumping right before bed will help. I used to do that but stopped bc I hate pumping.
