But Kellan Wilder was born last Thursday morning. Labor was only an hour total! My water broke with no previous contractions. They went from nothing to every twos minutes. My husband started to fill the birth pool while I called our midwife. After about a half hour, I jumped in the pool (instant relief! I HIGHLY recommend water for pain management) and had him in three pushes. My poor husband had the midwife on speakerphone. She arrived about a half hour after the birth, checked both Kellan & myself out, helped clean up & cooked us breakfast. No tearing, just slight bruising. At our post partum visit yesterday Kellan is gaining like a champ, and we've been advised that if we do have more kids, she will either have to camp out at our house when it's close to time or DH will be given a more detailed childbirth course, lol.

Re: Don't hate....(Kellan's birth story)
I feel like there have been a lot of unintended unassisted births around here! Crazy.
I'm so glad your birth was so quick and "easy" <-- I know even quick isn't exactly easy but you know what I mean! Congratulations on your little boy!!

Today I am pregnant & I love my baby!
Congratulations!! My midwife is only about 10-15 minutes away- she better make it here in time or my 2 yr. old might wind up catching his sister! Hahaha!
