your kid will be smarter than you in a couple years?
Every day DD finds a way to amaze me. She recently figured out how to unzip her diaper bag to get to the Cheerios I keep in there. Little bugger. Now we have to keep it in the coat closet when not in use.
Last night I came out of the bathroom and she was sitting on the couch holding the remote and flipping through the channels. WTF?! She's barely one!
Re: Do you ever feel like
not yet, lol. Whenever I work on colors with her "this one is blue!! this one is red!! give mama the red one!!" she hands me the wrong color every time. current favorites activities are pulling trash from the recycling bins and pulling books off the bookshelf.
Oh my gosh, too cute!
I am just amazed with how much she picks up on her own.
Yes- it seems like they will be smarter than you and then they become teenagers. While they do know technology they forget where the hamper and trash cans are. They also think school projects are delivered by a fairy if they wait until the last minute to complete them. They will think you are stupid but as stupid as you are they do realize that you have money and they want it.
My LO already seems to know the difference between the remote that works the TV and the old one that looks pretty close and has no batteries in it that we give him to play with. But this child also cannot pass the kitchen trash can without pushing it with his head across the room.
I loved that!!! Jay can't get on the couch yet, thankfully. I don't have this feeling but I may eventually.
lol, this is us too.
I think I hold the poor kid back - I keep him locked in the dining room/living room...poor thing. I live in a split level and need to teach him these stairs so he can explore and have the opportunity to unroll the toilet paper, push the garbage can across the kitchen with his head, etc. etc.
But yes, everyday I notice that he learns something I didn't teach him and it's so stinking cute.
