Dumb question about labor cake! LOL

I was looking at the recipe, which requires 1 box of chocolate cake mix and 1 package of chocolate instant pudding mix.

The directions say to prepare the cake mix as directed, then add the chocolate pudding and other ingredients. I tend to overthink things, so of course my first thought was, "Do I prepare the chocolate pudding, too, or just throw it in as a powder?" LOL. Didn't know, because it just says "add chocolate pudding," not "add pudding mix" or anything self-explanatory like that.

So I've officially made myself look like a dipshit for the day... But all input is appreciated. Stick out tongue

    Add the mix :) I made labor cake last night myself and woke up to contractions this morning! Fingers crossed it's the real deal this time, I've been plagued with Braxton Hicks.

    I've never heard of this "labor cake." I assume it's to induce labor? Where'd you find the recipe?

    I just added the pudding mix, but didn't prepare it as pudding.  Tasted good for me!

    Ahhhh damn. I just went to the grocery store to get the ingredients and I got chocolate cake mix instead of devil's food! Stupid pregnancy brain.

    Oh well, I'm making it anyway. LOL

    I used triple chocolate cake instead of devils food because it was all the store had...maybe that's why I haven't had contractions ;)....haha guess I'll just have to make another batch :)
