2nd timers (or more) - stroller questions

Are you looking at getting a new stroller? A double stroller? Or something where your older LO can stand on the back bench (or whatever it's called)?

My LO will be just under two so I don't know if he will be willing to be in stroller anymore. I'm just curious to see what others are thinking or what others that have already gone through this did.

Re: 2nd timers (or more) - stroller questions

  • Lo doesn't really like his stroller so I'm not getting a double. I really don't see myself taking both kids anywhere alone that doesn't have shopping carts.

  • I got a Phil & Ted's on Craigslist a few months ago, so I'll just pop on the second seat (my LO calls it the grumble seat) when we need it.

  • My initial thought is carrier and stroller. The idea of steering around a double stroller just doesn't appeal to me.

  • I'm thinking about getting the double that matches our infant carrier from DD. It folds up and it light wieght but I'm not sure if DD will use it at 2.5 really. I've loved my single stroller with her though. I think it will be a purchase made after lo2 is here and we know more what our needs are.

  • We have an UppaBaby, I'll probably use a carrier to start with the new little one than buy the extra seat that will make it a double stroller.  UppaBaby also has a ride on piece that would make it a tripple stroller! I'm considering getting that too b/c I think my toddler would rather stand and ride than sit :)

  • I got the Baby Jogger City Mini double stroller and LOVE it.

  • I'm going to wait until LO is here to see if I end up needing a double stroller. I have a few different carriers that I never really used with DS because he hated them, but if this LO is different, I'll try the carrier + stroller route. I feel like I don't really have a good idea of how hard it is going to be with the two because DS just started walking and I'm not sure if he'll be wanting to walk like a big boy in September or if he'll want the stroller.

  • I was thinking about this today too. I have NO idea what I'm going to do! My twins will be just 2 when the new baby arrives. So what the hell do I get?

  • DD sat in her Graco stroller until she was about 3, and after that, she preferred to walk. We still use the stroller if we go places where she just can't walk, like the mall or the amusement park. I won't be getting a double stroller. I will keep the stroller we have and if DD can't walk wherever we go, I will wear the baby and DD can go in the stroller. I don't see it being a problem...she will be 4 and a half when the baby comes.
