Well, it's one reason.
I weaned DD at 1 and had enough left in my freezer for her to have a bottle of BM every day for at least four months... until she got sick. The weekend before last we all got his HARD with norovirus and DD refused solids and pedi said no dairy (she was on WCM) until her poop was back to normal--clear liquids ONLY (which includes BM). It's been over a week now, and her stool is just getting back to normal. She's still refusing almost all solids. My stash is almost gone, but I have no idea what I would have done without it.
Re: This is why you should have a freezer stash.
Or maybe it's a reason to just keep breastfeeding?
I don't have a freezer stash, but I don't plan to wean at 1 either.
Glad to hear your baby is feeling better! Breastmilk is a magic food.

I agree. I am glad you have a stash, but this is why I want to keep nursing as long as possible
